Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub nearly fought in Jorge Masvidal’s bare-knuckle MMA promotion. ‘Big Brown’ has been out of the cage for nearly a decade now. Brendan Schaub last competed at UFC 181 in December 2014, against then-heavyweight contender Travis Browne. That night saw the future podcaster handed a first-round knockout loss. Post-fight, Schaub retired after urging from his friend Joe Rogan.

Stipe Miocic last competed in the main event of UFC 260 in March 2021. That night saw the heavyweight champion lose by a brutal second-round knockout to Francis Ngannou. For a long time, it appeared that Miocic would never fight again.
