‘Cyborg’ will drop to 140 for “Invicta FC 15” fight in November

By BJPENN.COM News - September 13, 2015

It looks like Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino’s trip down to bantamweight has begun! The featherweight champion will be gracing the cage in Invicta when she drops down to 140 for her next fight at “Invicta FC 15” in November. The news broke during the post-fight press conference after “Invicta FC 14” on Saturday night. Details surrounding her next fight are scarce as Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp hasn’t released “Cyborg’s” opponent or the date and location of the card.

After Ronda Rousey quickly disposed of Bethe Correia on August 1st at UFC 190, all eyes were on “Cyborg” waiting for her to announce her drop to bantamweight. While Rousey and “Cyborg” traded shots at each other, the fight never materialized and “Rowdy” will now be facing Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia.

UFC President Dana White cleared any confusion that surrounded the potential fight caused by Tito Ortiz and “Cyborg” claiming they were offered to fight Rousey is Dallas, Texas by simply calling Ortiz a “liar”.

White had previously stated that if Justino could make bantamweight, she would fight Rousey. While “Cyborg” was offered a fight at 135 in the octagon, it was neither against the bantamweight champion or in Dallas, Texas.

Who do you think will step into the cage with “Cyborg”? Will it be somebody who runs the risk of winning, or will “Cyborg” easily be able to dispose of them? Share your thoughts and predictions in the comment section below!
