Amanda Nunes vs. Germaine de Randamie set for ‘UFC Fight for the Troops 3’ card
UFC officials announced Monday that a second women’s bantamweight bout has been added to the UFC’s “Fight for the Troops 3” card, set for November 6 at Kentucky’s Fort Campbell.
Amanda Nunes (8-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will meet Germaine de Randamie (4-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) that evening, likely as part of the preliminary card.
Amanda Nunes made her UFC debut in August at UFC 163 in her native Brazil, where she scored a first-round TKO victory over Sheila Gaff. Prior to that, Nunes went 1-1 while under the Strikeforce banner, as well as going 1-1 while fighting for the Invicta FC promotion.
Meanwhile, Germaine de Randamie was also successful in her octagon debut, as she earned a split-decision win over Julie Kedzie at UFC on FOX 8 in Seattle. Prior to that, the Dutch kickboxer went 2-1 while fighting under the Strikeforce banner.
UFC Fight Night 31 takes place November 6 live from Kentucky’s Fort Campbell. The event, which airs on FOX Sports 1, is headlined by a middleweight fight between former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and former two-time Strikeforce title challenger Tim Kennedy.
