Anderson Silva Admits to Anti-Inflammatory Use, But Not Steroids
“No, I didn’t take anything. Hear me out. I never took anything like that. No way. I’ve never taken anything. I did take anti-inflammatory shots. No way! I’m telling you I didn’t do it! Are you crazy? I took hydroxocobalamin for three days. That was the only thing I took. I’ve never used any anabolic steroid to fight or to improve my performance.”
Anderson Silva failed his pre-fight UFC 183 drug test for performance enhancing drugs, but the former middleweight champion wants to make it clear that he never took any.
On a recent episode of ‘The Ultimate Fighter Brazil: Season 4’, Anderson Silva denied using any form of performance enhancing drugs and stated that he only took an anti-inflammatory called hydroxocobalamin.
The news is unfolding in a weekly episode manner as the last few episodes of Brazil’s ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ has been based around Silva receiving and reacting to the news. Anderson Silva was supposed to have a hearing with the Nevada State Athletic Commission on April 9th, but his request to postpone it was granted.
