Anderson Silva’s Win Over Nick Diaz Taken Away By Nevada
Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is having a rough week.
After learning of his failed drug test, the widely considered pound-for-pound greatest fighter of all-time will have most recent win over Nick Diaz overturned by the State of Nevada.
This unfortunate turn of events makes Silva winless in 2.5 years, with his last Octagon victory coming in 2012 over Stephan Bonnar at UFC 153.
Many are calling for Silva’s retirement from competition. At 39-years old, the former UFC middleweight champion has nothing left to prove, outside of competing clean, and proving he can do it, to protect what’s left of his legacy.
Silva, to his credit, denies the drug test allegations, and will likely fight the verdict.
