Barboza vs. Johnson Set For UFC Fight Night 61

UFC Fight Night 61: Evans vs. Teixeira, which goes down February 22nd from Porto Alegre Brazil now has a co-main event!

Edson Barboza vs. Michael Johnson will serve as the co-main event for the card on Fox Sports 1.

Barboza will be riding a 2-fight win streak into the bout since dropping a submission loss to Donald Cerrone earlier this year. With a win over Johnson, he will look to cement his place in the lightweight divisions top 5.

Michael Johnson on the other hand is riding a 3-fight win streak that has seen him defeat Joe Lauzon, Gleison Tibau, and most recently Melvin Guillard. Johnson will be looking to make the jump from #12 on the UFC’s official rankings into the top 10.
