Booking Roundup! UFC Books 6 Bouts For “UFC Fight Night: Australia”
This past week, as always, the UFC has been busy booking matches for upcoming events, specifically “UFC Fight Night: Australia”, which goes down on May 10th.
Catch up with all of the latest matchmaking happenings with BJPENN.com’s Booking Roundup!
First up we have Brad Tavares vs. Robert Whittaker, which will go down at “UFC Fight Night: Australia” on May 10th. The bout will serve as the co-main event for the card. Tavares is coming off a decision win over Nate Marquardt at UFC 182, which snapped a 2-fight skid. Whittaker on the other hand is riding a 2-fight win streak that most recently saw him TKO Clint Hester.
Also on the card we have Anthony Perosh vs. Sean O’Connell. Perosh is coming off a submission win over Guto Inocente, which put him back in the win column, and brought his UFC record to 5-3. O’Connell on the other hand is coming off a TKO win over Matt Van Buren, which gave him his first UFC win after going 0-2 prior to that bout.
Also on the card we have a bout between TUF alumni, Jake Matthews vs. James Vick. Matthews is 8-0 since his stint on TUF, with 2 UFC wins, both coming by submission. Vick on the other hand is 7-0 since his stint on TUF, going 3-0 in the UFC.
Also on the card, will be Bec Rawlings vs. Seo Hee Ham. Rawlings is coming off a loss to Heather Jo Clarke at the TUF 20 finale, whereas Seo Hee Ham is coming off a loss to Joanne Calderwood at the TUF finale.
Also on the card will be Dylan Andrews vs. Bradley Scott. Andrews is riding a 2-fight losing streak, which has seen him KO’d/TKO’d in both bouts, dropping his UFC record to 2-2. Scott on the other hand is coming off a decision loss to Claudio Silva, dropping his promotional record to 1-2.
Also on the card will be Kailin Curran vs. Alex Chambers. Curran is coming off a loss in her UFC debut to Paige VanZant via 3rd round TKO. Chambers on the other hand, a TUF 20 veteran, is coming off a loss on the TUF 20 finale card to Aisling Daley via submission.
Last but not least, we have Brendan O’Reilly vs. Vik Grujic. Reilly is coming off a loss to Lipeng Zhang via decision. Whereas Vik Grujic is coming off a TKO loss to Chris Clements.
