Booking Roundup: Over 10 Fights Announced!

This may be one of the most stacked editions of “Booking Roundup” of all time. Robbie Lawler, Carlos Condit, Johny Hendricks, Jessica Eye and several others all received new fights in the past weeks! Catch up on what you’ve missed below!

UFC 191: Las Vegas Gets All “Touchy Fili” (Sep. 5, 2015)
Team Alpha Male standout Andre “Touchy” Fili has been added to the UFC 191 lineup as he will square off with Clay Collard. Both Fili and Collard are looking to bounce back from tough losses.

Joe Riggs was recently forced to pull out of his bout with Uriah Hall and he has found a new opponent at UFC 191 in Ron Stallings. UFC veteran Riggs is riding a two fight losing streak and will be looking to turn things around at the expense of Stallings.

UFC Fight Night 75: Diego Brandao Does Japan (Sep. 27, 2015)
Diego Brandao has been begging for another fight and he finally got his wish. The featherweight will be stepping into the octagon with Katsunori Kikuno at an upcoming Fight Night event in the Saitama Super Arena. Brandao is no stranger to fighting on enemy soil as he suffered a rough loss to Conor McGregor in Ireland at UFC Fight Night 46. Brandao is hoping to cash in the loss to McGregor as a learning experience and treat the fight in Japan like any other.

UFC 192: “Big Rig” and “Evil” Eye Coming to Houston, Texas (Oct. 3, 2015)
Everything is bigger in Texas, and this card got a whole lot bigger over the course of two weeks. Already headlined by a title fight between Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson, the card got a new co main-event in the form of a top-contender bout between Johny Hendricks and Tyron Woodley. The bout should help settle the dispute of who should earn the next title shot after Carlos Condit challenges Robbie Lawler.

Jessica “Evil” Eye wants to prove she is a force to reckon with and securing a win over Julianna Pena in Houston would do just that. Pena is coming off a win over Milana Dudieva and a victory against Eye, who just lost to Miesha Tate, would no doubt boost her up the rankings.

“Showtime’s” little brother, Sergio Pettis, has signed the contract to face Chris Cariaso at the stacked October card as well. Pettis experienced his first knockout loss (thanks to Ryan Benoit) in March and will be trying to avoid a similar fate when he clashes with Cariaso.

Alan Jouban and Albert Tumenov have a combined four wins in their last four octagon outings and someone’s streak will end this fall. Jouban has proven time and time again he has the potential to be a big deal in the welterweight division and a win over Tumenov could boost him up to the next level in competition.

Daniel Hooker will fight on American soil for the first time in his professional fighting career in Houston, Texas when he squares off with Yair Rodriguez. Lastly, heavyweights Anthony Hamilton and Derrick Lewis are expected to meet in a UFC Fight Pass preliminary bout.

UFC Fight Night 76: A “Storm” Is Coming to Dublin, Ireland (Oct. 24, 2015)
“Stormin'” Norman Parke will be making his way to Dublin, Ireland at UFC Fight Night 76 when he goes toe-to-toe with Reza Madadi. Madadi will be making his return to the octagon for the first time since his submission win against Michael Johnson in 2013.

UFC Fight Night 77: Are They Saying “Boo” or “Boo Urns”? (Nov. 7, 2015)
Gilbert Burns vs. Rashid Magomedov has been booked for UFC Fight Night 78 in Brazil. The bout will take place in the lightweight division and will pit two fighters riding amazing waves of momentum against each other. The card is headlined by Dan Henderson’s and Vitor Belfort’s third meeting with each other.

UFC 193: The “Natural Born Killer” Comes to Australia (Nov. 15, 2015)
Robbie Lawler’s next welterweight championship defense is expected to take place at UFC 193 in Australia. His challenger? None other than Carlos Condit. While Johny Hendricks may be more deserving of another shot at the title, nobody can argue that this has the potential to be fight of the year!

UFC Fight Night 78: “Immortal” Matt Brown is Coming to Mexico (Nov. 21, 2015)
Matt Brown is bringing his intense fighting style with him to Mexico when he headlines a card with Kelvin Gastelum! Brown, one of the more popular fighters of the division, picked up a huge submission victory at “UFC 189” when he knocked down then submitted Tim Means. Gastelum’s last appearance in the cage was nothing to laugh at either; he defeated former Strikeforce champion Nate Marquardt with ease.
