Brain Damage? Rogan Suggests Head Trauma Led to Jon Jones’ Incident
Just over two weeks ago, Jon Jones was involved in a hit-and-run incident that cost him his championship and ultimately his position in the UFC. UFC commentator Joe Rogan feels for Jones, but believes that there may be an issue that nobody is addressing.
Rogan suggested on his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience” that Jones may be suffering from the effects of head trauma. Rogan broke down the reality of Jones’ situation: “Jon Jones is likely going to jail. Hit and run. Crashed into a pregnant woman, allegedly, I should say. Broke her arm. She was rushed to the hospital, but pregnant, which has got to be terrifying for her. To be in a car crash and smashed by a guy who runs a red light and then flees the scene of the crime.”
After the accident, Jones fled the scene and was unheard of before turning himself into the police twenty-four hours after the incident where he was taken into custody. Jones posted bail and was released from jail by Tuesday morning.
Rogan continued, “You can’t hit someone with a car and leave the scene of the crime. It is a crime, but there are things that people do because they have brain damage. That’s where the real question comes up. Obviously they’re responsible ultimately for their own actions, but what is it that’s responsible for making them do that action?”
“If the brain is getting damaged and if we have proven that some of the issues with people that have brain damage is impulse control you’ve got to wonder when you see fighters do wild, crazy s***, how much of that is due to getting bonked in the f****** head all the time?”
Do you think Joe Rogan has a point? Is Jon Jones suffering from head trauma or was it simply the fame that got to his head?
