UFC Featherweight champion Jose Aldo has apparently sustained an injury leading up to his August fight with Chad Mendes, and as a result has withdrawn from the bout.
UFC President Dana White has confirmed the news, but there is no word yet as to who will replace Aldo against Mendes.

The UFC tentatively has reserved the Madison Square Garden on April 23rd for a highly anticipated Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier rematch at UFC 198 without knowing for certain whether or not New York will allow the UFC to host an event there.
