Brimage feeling optimistic despite being cut from UFC

Marcus Brimage found himself on the UFC’s cut list recently after they began their ‘roster purge.’ Brimage’s release didn’t necessarily come as a shock given that he’s lost 4 of his last 5 fights.

While many fighters would feel discouraged by being released from the UFC, Brimage looks at it as an opportunity to better himself as a martial artist. He even has received an offer to fight for another promotion, however due to contract negotiations he refrained from disclosing the name of the promotion.

He spoke to MMAJunkie to discuss his release from the UFC.

“I don’t care what organization I fight for – I honestly just want to fight the best and continue to hone in my craft,”

“Me retiring is not even the furthest thing in the mind of everyone that supports me and myself.”
