Cain Velasquez To Face Surgeon’s Knife Tomorrow In Cali
UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez is set for surgery tomorrow to repair his UFC 180 fight canceling knee injury.
The San Jose based fighter withdrew from his scheduled title bout against Fabricio Werdum yesterday.
Instead of a top 5 opponent, Velasquez must now face a surgeon’s knife, as he goes in to repair a torn meniscus.
The UFC champion has also sprained his MCL, which will require rehab going forward.
No timetable on the champ’s return was given at the time of this report, however UFC officials are hoping for a March 2015 date.
