CONFIRMED! Edgar next in line for title shot

In the main event of the TUF 22 Finale Frankie Edgar went out and shocked fans as he knocked out Chad Mendes in the 1st round.

After the bout Frankie Edgar revealed that UFC President Dana White was no longer in attendance. This raised the question of ‘will Edgar finally get the title shot he deserves?’

We learned on the Fox Sports 1 post-fight show that Edgar met with Dana White immediately following the bout and has “good news.”

In addition, Dana White spoke at the post-fight press conference where he revealed “Nobody can deny Frankie anymore. He looked amazing tonight, and he’ll get whatever he wants.”

Should Conor McGregor defeat Jose Aldo tomorrow night at UFC 194, Aldo will get a title shot.

With that being said, when that beef is settled, it appears Frankie Edgar will finally get his title shot.
