Cowboy Cerrone Plans On Coming ‘Unglued’ Against Khabib Nurmagomedov
The first title challenger to face the new UFC lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos, will likely be one of two men: Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone or Khabib Nurmagomedov. The two top lightweights are scheduled to face off at UFC 187 on May 23.
Cerrone will enter riding a seven fight win streak, while Nurmagomedov brings in a 22-0 record. Ever since the bout was announced the trash talk has been unloaded by Nurmagomedov, relentlessly. It appears as though it is working, according to Cerrone himself who talked about it at the UFC 185 fan Q&A.
“I will give Khabib everything I got, I promise that. I will leave nothing in the fu*king cage, the (Benson) Henderson fight, I left a lot out there. But I plan on getting Khabib. He’s really getting under my skin. He’s doing a good job talking sh*t on Twitter and trying to get under me, and it’s working. So I’m stocking that up and I’m going to come fu*king unglued.”
What do you think an unglued Cerrone will look like? I guess we’ll find out on May 23.
