Cruz: ‘Dillashaw’s A Wannabe, I’m The Best In The World’
Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has been in the media a lot since this past Saturday’s UFC on FOX 16. TJ Dillashaw put on a dominating performance and finished former champ Renan Barao, again.
Since then fans and media have begun talking about a fight between Cruz and Dillashaw, pointing to a scrap between them as a true test for the current champ.
Cruz has been sidelined with injury for a while now, but recently talked to The MMA Hour about his thoughts on the champ and a potential fight down the road.
“I see absolutely no similarities in my fighting style and T.J. Dillishaw’s. The reason I say that is we do different things. He’s switching stances and I’m not. I am doing something totally different that nobody understands––Now, my style is being appreciated. When I go out there, people will see that T.J. Dillashaw is nothing but a wannabe and I look forward to going out there and proving that I am the best in the world––But, when I come back, the real fights are going to get started and people are going to see what this division is capable of with me as the champion.”
