Dana White: Lawler vs. Hendricks 3 “Wouldn’t be a bad idea”
Last night at UFC 181, fight fans saw Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler battle it out for 5 rounds. In the end, the judges gave Lawler the nod, and the welterweight title.
With the series tied with 1 win Lawler, 1 win Hendricks, many fans began calling for a trilogy bout.
UFC President Dana White was asked about the possibility of a trilogy match, which he said:
“The trilogy wouldn’t be a bad idea,”
In attendance at the event was the man many believe should get the next title shot, Rory MacDonald. With his win over Tarec Saffiedine, MacDonald had been promised a title shot in Canada. Dana White was asked if MacDonald was still guaranteed the next shot at the belt, to which he said:
“I have no idea,”
