Dana White Reaches Out To Victims Of Boston Bombings
UFC President and former resident of Massachusetts, Dana White recently stated at the UFC on FOX 7 post-fight press conference that he plans on heading to Boston to in a show of support to some of the victims of last week’s horrific bombings that took place at the Boston Marathon.
White still remains unclear on how exactly he is going to help, but it seems that his signature on a couple of checks might be his master plan:
“After [UFC 159], I’m jumping on a plane and flying to Boston and I’m actually going to go visit some people that were affected by this while I’m there. I’m going to go to Boston and write some checks. I don’t even know how I’m going to do it or what I’m going to do, but I’m going. I want to go. I’m going next weekend. The Boston thing has obviously affected me pretty strongly because I lived there. I know people there, and the story that really gets me is the mother that was crossing the finish line and the 8-year-old that was killed and the 6-year-old that lost her leg by a couple of [expletive] cowards.”
White states that he will leave after UFC 159, which takes place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, April 27th. The card features a light-heavyweight title fight between ‘The Ultimate Fighter 17’ coaches, Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.
