Dana White: ‘The Media Got What They Wanted In Belfort vs. Weidman Cancellation’
“TRT is the monkey that is off my back now. You guys need something to talk about. TRT was fun wasn’t. Oh that was fun. You could write six – seven page stories about it, and Vitor (Belfort), and now it’s gone. What is next guys?… I never defended him, I hit you with facts. I stated facts, it’s not like I was defending – and then everything was always Vitor, Vitor, Vitor, there’s other guys that are on this stuff, not just Vitor. At the end of the day the media got what they wanted. The media got what they wanted. He’s banned. He’s not fighting Chris Weidman, and the media got what they wanted. They wanted no Chris Weidman fight with Vitor.”
During his pre-UFC 171 media scrum, UFC President Dana White, touched on the topic of TRT and the cancellation of the Belfort vs. Weidman title fight.
Is he right, did the media get what they wanted?
