Dana White will meet with Ronda Rousey next week
Since Ronda Rousey was knocked out by Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 193 this past Saturday many fans have been wondering if, and when, Rousey will be back in the Octagon.
Rousey took to Instagram after the loss to reveal that she will indeed be back, but will take some time off like she planned.
UFC President Dana White spoke to UFC commentator Joe Rogan on The Joe Rogan Experience to reveal that he will meet with Rousey next week, but not to discuss fighting unless Rousey brings it up.
“If she does, that’s cool. If she wants to talk, we can talk. But I won’t talk to her about it. I’ll give her a month.”
“We’ve gotta see where Ronda is at and we’ll figure it out. Obviously, UFC 200 would be awesome.”
There has been some controversy regarding whether or not Rousey should get an immediate rematch. While many believe that a rematch between Holm and Rousey makes sense, others like UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier believe that Rousey needs some time to fix the holes in her game.
