Demetrious Johnson vs John Moraga Flyweight Championship To Headline UFC On Fox 8

The UFC on Fox 8 fight card finally has it’s headliner: a Flyweight Championship bout between champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and challenger John Moraga.

This match-up was originally scheduled to headline the TUF 17 Finale on April 13, but Johnson suffered a shoulder injury that canceled the fight.

Demetrious Johnson (17-2-1) is coming off a unanimous decision win over fellow flyweight John Dodson at UFC on Fox 6. “Mighty Mouse” will look to make his second successful title defense against the always dangerous John Moraga.

Moraga (13-1) is on a seven fight win streak, with recent his most recent wins against Ulysses Gomes and Chris Carasio. An impressive 8 of 13 career wins have come by finishes, and 5 of these in the first round. Interestingly enough, his lone career blemish was a unanimous decision loss John Dodson in 2010.

UFC on Fox 8 takes place on July 27 at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington.
