Demetrious Johnson Wants $2 Million To Fight TJ Dillashaw

UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson is one of the most dominant fighters today. Johnson hasn’t lost since 2011, when he fought Dominick Cruz for the UFC bantamweight championship.

Since then, Johnson has gone 7-0-1, winning the inaugural UFC flyweight championship, and defending it 5 times since then.

Go up a weight class and you have TJ Dillashaw, the man behind arguably the greatest upset in UFC history when TJ Dillashaw snapped Renan Barao’s 32-fight win streak.

In there lies arguably one of the most anticipated super-fights, Johnson vs. Dillashaw.

Demetrious Johnson spoke to MMAFighting about the time he ran into TJ Dillashaw, and they agreed to fight.

“I was like, ‘Hey, I told everybody that I’ll fight you.’ He was like, ‘You did?’ I said, ‘Yes and I told everybody we gotta get paid. I said $2 million.’ He goes, ‘Eff, yeah. I’m down with that.'”

Johnson talked about whether or not it would take $2 million for him to fight Dillashaw.

“I guess not. Maybe one million if Dana wants to come out with that.”
