Donald Cerrone: I’m Fighting So I Can Pay Off My Taxes

Donald Cerrone has earned the right to fight for the UFC Lightweight Championship. The issue? He has to wait until champion Rafael dos Anjos fully heals which could take until December 2015. Cerrone is contemplating taking another fight before his title shot because he has BILLS to pay.

“I’ve been taking those fights just to pay my taxes off, that’s what people don’t understand,” Cerrone told Bruce Buffer on “It’s Time“. “They give us this big chunk of money and then idiots like me spend it all. Then they tell me, ‘wait, you have to pay us our set.’ Then, I have to go fight again so I can pay them.”
