Even Before Probation, Jones Was Volunteering And Helping Kids
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is required to complete 72 speaking arrangements in addition to his 18 months of probation.
That means he needs to speak at schools or gyms and work with local organizations like the Boys and Girls Club. According to his PR rep, via MMAJunkie, Jones has already completed several of those appearances and according to Denise White, CEO of EAG Sports Management, which works with Jones, he’s been doing appearances like that for awhile, even before he was court ordered to do so.
Here’s what she had to say:
“He’s been speaking at schools and kids organizations for quite some time. His message is a little different now.”
“Way before this all happened, but a lot during his time off, people wondered what he was doing. What he was doing was a) training, and b) going and hanging out with the kids at the Boys and Girls Club, which I thought was really good for him. Obviously, he has something to tell them.”
Do you think Jones has turned over a new leaf and is on his way to being a new man?
