Former UFC fighter Corey Hill has passed away on Friday afternoon after battling a devastating illness at the age of 36. His wife, Lauran Hill, confirmed his passing through TMZ Sports.

UFC confirmed his death on their website on Thursday, but Hill said he was still battling. Unfortunately, Hill would go on to lose the battle on Friday.

Lauran stated, “He was such a strong role model for our children, and would do anything to keep them safe and happy and healthy.” She continued, “[He was] a fighter ’til the end.”

Corey Hill’s first professional (exhibition) fight was with the UFC in a decision win against Rob Emerson on “The Ultimate Fighter”. He started following the career of a fighter to achieve his personal goals and to make money for his family.

BJPENN.COM sends our deepest condolences to the family of Corey Hill and our thoughts are with them at this time.
