Frankie Edgar: ‘Dana White’s Ducking Me, Owes Me A Title Shot’
Where in the world is Dana White?
That’s what former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar was wondering after his win over Urijah Faber this past Saturday.
Edgar got on the mic in the cage after his win and said he wants that featherweight title shot. He would have told White in person, but the UFC president wasn’t in attendance for the event in Manila. Edgar thinks he knows why.
“I want that title, man. I know Dana’s not here, again. I don’t know if he’s ducking me because he owes me a title shot.”
During a post-fight interview on FOX Sports 2, Edgar stated his reasoning for deserving a title shot.
“I just beat one of the best guys that does our sport. I was able to beat him five rounds to nothing, close him out. I think I’m the next title contender.”
Should Edgar fight the winner of Aldo vs. McGregor?
