Gegard Mousasi: ‘Fight With Bisping Makes Sense, Going For Title Next Year’
UFC middleweight Gegard Mousasi might need to work on his call-outs a little bit.
After his win over Costas Philippou on Saturday, Mousasi said, at the post fight press conference, that he wants a fight with Jacare Souza, but that right now a fight with Michael Bisping sounds good too.
“I wanted ‘Jacare.’ The only one who makes sense is Michael Bisping.”
But then the fighter said, “But let’s not challenge him, because he overreacts.”
Either way, he plans on fighting again this year and then fighting again next year before challenging for the title.
“I’m hoping to fight this year. “I’d have three wins, and next year maybe one more fight and go for the title. I see myself going for the title, but there are guys ahead of me.”
