.GIF | Bobby Green’s Controversial Fight Ending Gut (Or Nut?) Shot

During last night’s UFC main card, lightweights Bobby Green and James Krause engaged in a battle that was stopped short after three questionable low blows delivered by the kicks of Green.

After the first two illegal groin shots, referee John McCarthy deducted a point, without warning, from Green.

Upon a third low blow, McCarthy stopped the bout entirely but to the surprise of many gave Green the TKO victory and not the DQ.

According to his professional opinion, McCarthy believed the third kick was on the waist line and therefore a legal blow which dropped Krause and caused the stoppage.

This all happened in the first round.
