Glover Teixeira & Phil Davis In The Works For UFC 179

While not yet official, multiple sources are reporting that a light-heavyweight bout between Glover Teixeira and Phil Davis has been verbally agreed to by both parties.

Of course, nothing is official until both fighters sign their bout agreements, and we expect that to take place in the coming days.

The battle of top 205’ers will likely be part of UFC 179’s main pay-per-view card.

UFC 179 is set to feature a featherweight title fight in the main event between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes. The event is set to take place in Rio on October 25.

Davis and Teixeira are both coming off stinging losses. Davis last fought against the rising Anthony Johnson and Glover was last seen trying to hang in there against Jon Jones.
