Green Cleared To Mourn Following UFC on FOX 12 Win
“The only reason I took the fight is to give my brother that honor, to put him on the front stage and say he was a good kid. He was a great guy. He was my closest soldier to me – my little, my baby brother. When I go home, he was the first person I was going to see. It’s been very hard to deal with it and deal with that pain. I haven’t had time to really sit back and think about it.”
“I’m going to go visit his grave and really express my hurt. I’ve been so busy and so occupied – because I only took the fight on 12-days’ notice – that you don’t have time to do all these different things. So I’m just ready now. I’m going to take my time to really cry for my brother. I didn’t really get the time to share that.”
Following his UFC on FOX 12 win over Josh Thomson, Bobby “King” Green tells the gathered media at the post-fight presser (Replay HERE), that he’s ready to grieve for his brother, who was killed in gunfire just a few short weeks ago in Southern California.
Green took the bout against Thomson on just 12 days notice.
