Gustafsson Unimpressed With “Rumbles” Resume, Will Not Fight Him

By BJPENN.COM News - September 3, 2014

Title shot or nothing!

Top UFC light-heavyweight contender, Alexander Gustafsson is making sure he holds on to his #1 slot, and he doesn’t care how long it takes.

The Swede tells MMAJunkie.com:

“If it is so that they guarantee me a title match in Sweden … I can wait three years. Then it does not matter… Had [a fight against Anthony Johnson] taken me somewhere I had been the first to accept. Since (Johnson’s) return to the UFC after being kicked out, he has beaten Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, who passed his expiration date a long time ago, and Phil Davis. He needs at least a couple (of more wins).”

Word is the UFC is planning an event for a 50,000 seat arena in Sweden, but is waiting for a summer 2015 return the smart move?
