‘I Don’t Care If You’re American, Brazilian or Russian; I’m Beating You’
Chris Weidman is stepping into the octagon to face Brazilian “Phenom” Vitor Belfort. The fight is finally taking place at UFC 187 after injuries and other setbacks forced the bout to be delayed.
In a recent interview with Globo, Weidman explained that no matter who challenges him for the championship in the octagon, he will retire undefeated.
“Many talented Brazilians in my division, but it doesn’t matter if it’s a Brazilian, American, or Russian,” Weidman stated. “I have my goals and that’s what I’ll get and maintain. I’m very excited for this fight, very motivated for my family and the fans. I’ll have a tough guy in front of me that wants to win, but he doesn’t want it more than me. He will not catch me, no one will beat me in this division. Until I’m ready to retire, no one beats me.”
