Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza was on an 8 fight win streak dating back to 2012 until a split decision loss to Yoel Romero ended the former Strikeforce champion’s run. Irony has it’s way presenting itself when the new champion is Souza’s only loss in over 6 years.
Romero was warned in the second round for fence pulling that some analyst feel should of been a point reduction, impacting the overall result of the fight.
