Jared Rosholt On Former Opponent Walt Harris: ‘I felt bad for him’
UFC heavyweight Jared Rosholt, who is currently 2-0 in the UFC, will fight Soa Palelei this Saturday at UFC Fight Night 43 in Auckland, New Zealand. The card will be featured on UFC Fight Pass and Rosholt vs. Palelei are the co-main event.
Rosholt recently spoke with MMAJunkie Radio. During the conversation, Rosholt expressed some thoughts about his former opponent Walt Harris, who was released from the UFC after going 0-2. In their fight, Rosholt survived some dangerous strikes to come back and win a decision. Here’s what Rosholt had to say.
“You kind of feel bad for guys like that. He didn’t get much of a chance, and I really thought after that fight I had with him that he’d come back strong in that fight with (Nikita) Krylov and beat him, no problem.
” … It’s unfortunate. That’s the sport. Anything can happen at any time. You just don’t know. I feel kind of bad for him. But yeah, I feel really good about the opportunities I have right now, being lucky and being prepared.”
