JDS Returning To Training Next Month, Wants Werdum Fight

“I want to clarify that I´m very well, and I´ll be in perfect condition to face Werdum at the end of the year. Actually I was injured before the fight against Stipe Miocic [at UFC on Fox 13]. I had a strain in the [anterior cruciate ligament], and ended up aggravating it during the fight when the ligament totally tore.”

Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos says that he will be ready to fight champ Fabricio Werdum at the end of the year, contrary to what president Dana White said. Werdum told Sherdog that he was injured before the Miocic fight and aggravated it during, but will be in perfect condition for a title shot.
