Joe Lauzon Announces His Next Opponent
Ladies and gentleman, UFC veteran and fan favorite Joe Lauzon has announced his next endeavor and it’s not in that UFC. Lauzon announced, via his Twitter, that he will be competing at Metamoris 6, set to go down on May 9 in Los Angeles.
Well, this will be fun… my next opponent. #MMA #BJJ https://t.co/Tj2kqBH4zb pic.twitter.com/8fgg5sYKx8

The announcement also revealed his opponent for the 20 minute, submission only Jiu-Jitsu match. Lauzon will go up against Dillon Danis. Danis is a prominent name in the Jiu-Jitsu world, who won two gold medals at the 2014 IBJJF New York Open and owns a slew of other accolades. The young Danis will be quite the challenge for Lauzon. As for those who speculated that Lauzon took the match because he was cut by the UFC,
Definitely not cut from the UFC… just signed a new contract. Doing Metamoris (grappling match) to keep busy. — Joe Lauzon (@JoeLauzon) March 22, 2015
