Jon Jones Loses Lucrative Nike Deal Following D.C. Scuffle
During today’s NAC hearing in Las Vegas, UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones revealed that he was dropped by Nike.
The superstar MMA Fighter inked the historic endorsement deal shortly after being crowned as the UFC’s youngest ever champion.
While Jones and his legal team didn’t offer much in terms of details, the duo noted, to the commission during today’s hearing, that the Nike Deal was worth six-figures to Jones. They argued that the loss of this endorsement and others was already punishment enough for the D.C. Brawl last month, in Vegas.
Jones was fined $50,000 for his part in the D.C. brawl and sentenced by the NAC to do 40 hours of community service. (Full sentencing report HERE)
