Jose Aldo’s Coach: I’ll dye his hair blond to get an immediate rematch

By bjpenndotcom - December 23, 2015

It’s been 10 days since one of the largest UFC events of the year if not in history went down in Las Vegas at UFC 194. Jose Aldo was ruthlessly KO with a counter left that dropped the former champ in the first frame. Controversy surrounds the possible rematch of McGregor vs Aldo with speculation that Aldo might be passed over for an immediate rematch.

The UFC, some feel may have some favoritism surrounding other former champions that lost belts in the past.   Nova União head coach Andre Pederneiras spoke with Combate (translation via MMAFighting)

“Well, I disagree,” Pederneiras said of the options for “The Notorious“. “They don’t care if I agree or not, but here’s what I say: I can’t see Aldo not fighting for a belt or not in an immediate rematch. It wouldn’t be fair if that doesn’t happen, but happen to others. ‘There’s no immediate rematch for anyone’, cool, we know what the rule is. ‘(There’s rematch) because she’s blond and sells well’? I’ll dye Aldo’s hair. Right?

If we didn’t know better it sounds like he might be talking about Ronda Rousey’s title loss. Obviously coloring Aldo’s hair may not get a promised rematch at gold, possibly a Khabib Nurmagomedov battle blond wig might be more fitting but I’m not a hair stylist.

At this point it may not be in the hands of Aldo’s team. The road back to gold may depend solely on the Irishman Conor McGregor decision to stay at FW or a move up to 155. Will “Scarface” get his rematch?
