Jose Aldo’s Pre-Fight Drug Test Comes Back Negative
“UFC 189” main eventer Jose Aldo has been surrounded by nothing but drama the past two months. Whether it be a drug test snafu or a rib injury, Aldo likely cannot wait to clear his name of any wrongdoing.
Aldo was supposed to undergo a random drug test on June 11th. Ben Mosier of Drug Free Sport made his way into Aldo’s camp and requested a urine sample. However, Aldo’s manager Andre Pederneiras was suspicious of Mosier and called the Brazilian athletic commission and eventually had Mosier removed from the building.
Aldo then supplied a urine sample to CABMMA the following day on June 12th and the test results have come back clean; Jose Aldo tested negative for banned substances. Combate supplied the following image and broke the news:
