Luke Rockhold Is Not The Only Reason Machida Wanted A Quick Turnaround
“I like to stay active as much as possible, and sometimes in MMA, you have a lot of time between fights. So I didn’t really get hurt in my last fight, and I wanted to get back in there as soon as I can.”
“Of course, when you lose, you want to get back in there and avenge your loss. But it’s not just because of that.”
Former UFC champion Lyoto Machida told MMAJunkie that his lopsided loss to Luke Rockhold is not the only reason he wanted to get back in the octagon so quickly.
Machida will fight Yoel Romero tonight at UFC Fight Night: Hollywood, in the nights main event. Machida is hoping a win over the tough olympic medalist will keep his name in the title picture.
