Luke Rockhold Wants Title Shot: ‘I Don’t See What Jacare Brings To The Table’

UFC middleweight Luke Rockhold just dispatched Lyoto Machida and wants that title shot really bad.

There’s been a lot of talk about who should get the next shot, Rockhold or Jacare Souza. Rockhold doesn’t see what all the discussion is about, he can’t understand what Souza brings to the table that he doesn’t. Check out what he said to MMAJunkie Radio.

“I don’t see what ‘Jacare’ brings to the table that I don’t bring,” he said. “If you want to sell pay-per-views, if you want marketability, if you want a real contender. … ‘Jacare’ is a great fighter – I’m not going to lie, he’s good. But his biggest win is against (Gegard) Mousasi. I just stomped the guy who stomped Mousasi, and I beat ‘Jacare.’ His two other wins are Chris Camozzi; he wasn’t even in the UFC (before the second fight), and a lot of guys that aren’t around. (Yusin) Okami, Carmont. … I don’t know what I need to do.”
