Manager: ‘Travis Browne Is 1,000% Innocent’
Yesterday UFC heavyweight Travis Browne was accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend, Jenna Renee Webb, who posted photos on Instagram showing her bruised body and said they were caused by Browne.
The UFC pulled Browne from all International Fight Week events and said they will be conducting an investigation into the matter.
Browne’s manager John Fosco, told MMAJunkie that his client is “1,000% innocent” and had this to say about the situation:
Fosco said he thinks the pictures show that it wasn’t Browne’s doing, since if it was Browne, the damage would have been much worse. Yeah, he said that:
“If Travis Browne abuses a petite woman, do you think that’s what happens? If he’s an abuser, you’ve got to get someone involved – he’s a dangerous guy (as a fighter). You go to the police. … Abuse is unacceptable.”
“To me, if it’s the eve of UFC Fight Week. That looks kind of measured. It’s kind of bizarre since they haven’t seen each other in five weeks. She hasn’t said anything about this in five weeks, and I don’t know if she’s ever gone to make a report.”
“It’s a new experience for him, so I’m pretty proud of him for not being reactionary and he’s just kind of thinking about it. The most important thing is, OK, what went on? What’s the truth? Because when the UFC is going to conduct an investigation, it’s going to be thorough. He’s taking it all in, and I’m proud of him.”
