Mark Coleman Named As Team Penn’s TUF 19 Wrestling Coach
UFC Hall-Of-Famer, Mark “The Hammer’ Coleman has accepted a spot on the coaching team of BJ Penn for the 19th season of the UFC’s hit reality show, “The Ultimate Fighter.”
The former UFC champion will join BJ Penn, Nova Uniao founder Andre Pederneiras and perhaps even Bas Rutten as a coach for up-and-coming fighters.
While the full list of coaches for team Penn has yet to be announced, it is clear that the former two-division champ is doing his best to put together an all-star coaching panel for his second stint on the reality TV show.
Coleman broke the news to FOX Sports:
“Me and BJ Penn have been friends since the beginning of this thing, and I consider him a great friend. Hopefully he respects my ability to coach some wrestling and hopefully help his team win this Ultimate Fighter,” Coleman told FOX Sports on Friday. “That’s the goal to win in the end. I guess he’s got confidence in me and he offered me the position to be his wrestling coach on the show. I’m extremely honored and excited to be on the show.
“Here we go, I’m going to have to put my hip to the test.”
