McGregor preparing for a loss?

Following Ronda Rousey’s brutal loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, many fighters offered up words of support to the former champ.

One person who offered words of encouragement was Conor McGregor, who will fight Jose Aldo in a title unification bout at UFC 194 on Saturday.

McGregor said that “Defeat is the secret ingredient to success,” McGregor said of Rousey. “True champions can conquer that, overcome it and come back. So I wish her all the best and that’s it.”

The way Chael Sonnen sees it, McGregor is preparing for a loss with that statement.

He spoke on Submission Radio:

“Conor McGregor is feathering a nest for a fall. It’s so apparent to a guy who understands the psychology of sport.” “You don’t have to get beat,” he continued. “It was a weird thing for him to say and he was feathering the nest.”
