Medical Suspensions Report — ‘UFC 183: Silva vs. Diaz’ Edition
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspended 14 UFC 183 fighters, following last Saturday’s event.
Topping the list are Tyron Woodley, Miesha Tate, Tim Boetsch, John Lineker, and Tom Watson, who all received six-month terms.
The full list of suspensions is as follows:
Nick Diaz: Suspended 45 days with no contact 30 days for facial lacerations
Anderson Silva: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days for a tough fight
Kelvin Gastelum: Suspended 45 days with no contact 30 days for left eyebrow cut
Tyron Woodley: Suspended 180 days, must have right foot x-rayed with a positive result needing clearance by orthopedic doctor. If cleared, no contest for 60 days, no contact 21 days
Joe Lauzon: Suspended 60 days with no contact 45 days
Tim Boetsch: Suspended 180 days, must have right knee cleared by doctor and possible right eye abrasion cleared by ophthalmologist. If cleared, no contest for 45 days, no contact 30 days
Thales Leites: Suspended 30 days with no contact 14 days for a tough fight
Jordan Mien: Suspended 30 days with no contact 21 days
Miesha Tate: Suspended 180 days, must have left orbital fracture cleared by ophthalmologist and left elbow cleared by doctor. If cleared, no contest for 60 days, no contact 30 days
Ed Herman: Suspended 45 days with no contact 30 days
John Lineker: Suspended 180 days, must have right foot x-rayed. If positive will require doctor’s clearance
Ian McCall: Suspended 45 days with no contact 30 days for left eyebrow laceration
Tom Watson: Suspended 180 days, must have right foot x-rayed. If cleared, no contest 30 days, no contact 21 days
Andy Enz: Suspended 45 days with no contact 30 days
