Melvin Guillard Released From WSOF, Looking For New Home
It looks like the relationship between World Series of Fighting and Melvin Guillard has officially ended. Guillard’s manager sent out a tweet this morning confirming the release of “The Young Assassin”.
I just received what I asked for from wsof which is the release for @Young__Assassin… Should have a new home for him shortly. #Frm

Guillard and WSOF’s relationship got off to a rocky start. Guillard missed weight toward the end of 2014 and proceeded to rip into the company.
Guillard remained with the company despite their differing point of views and was booked on WSOF’s twentieth card. However, Guillard did not submit his medical information on time and was pulled from the card!
WSOF President Ray Sefo took great disrespect to this and flipped out on how the Guillard situation was being handled on the conference call for “WSOF 20”.
Needless to say, the release was expected and is far from a surprise.
