Nate Diaz: I Beat (Gray Maynard), I’m Gonna Hunt Down Pettis and Thomson and Take Them Out

By Chris Taylor - November 25, 2013

UFC lightweight contenders Nate Diaz (16-9 MMA, 11-7 UFC) and Gray Maynard (11-2-1 MMA, 9-2-1 UFC) will meet for a third time on November 30, when the pair headline ‘The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale’ in Las Vegas.

Although the scorecards say that Diaz and Maynard split their first two fights, Nate fully believes that he won both of their previous contests, and says he will prove victorious again this weekend. After that, he plans on hunting down Anthony Pettis and Josh Thomson, as he told MMAWeekly:

“I beat (Gray Maynard), I’m gonna hunt down Pettis and Thomson’s ass and take them out,” said Diaz. “I’ll be back fighting for a title, real quick.”

A win over “The Bully” this weekend would help propel Diaz back to the top of the UFC’s stacked lightweight division. Do you see Nate pulling off the win and getting back in to title contention? Let’s hear it Penn Nation!
