Nevada State Athletic Commission Suspends Two UFC Fighters For Failed Drug Tests

By BJPENN.COM News - August 21, 2014

Robert Drysdale and Kevin Casey (pictured) were both suspended this afternoon, during today’s Nevada State Athletic Commission hearing.

The two UFC fighters recently failed drug tests for banned substances during competition.

Both men fought, and won, during the UFC’s International fight week earlier this year, Casey by way of knockout at UFC 175, and Drysdale via submission during the TUF 19 Finale event.

The commission has opted to revisit the issue at a later date, but today issued temporary suspensions to both men. The likely penalty will include fines, lengthy suspensions, and the overturning of their wins.

Drydsale failed for elevated testosterone, and Casey tested positive for the anabolic steroid drostanolone.
