NSAC postpones Palhares’ and Magalhaes’ hearings
The Nevada State Athletic Commission were extremely busy Monday evening and will likely continue to be for the coming weeks as they field calls and e-mails for their verdict on the Nick Diaz case. Diaz was dealt a five year suspension for failing his post-fight UFC 183 drug test and was fined 33% of his purse as well.
Rousimar Palhares and Caio Magalhaes, on the other hand, will have to wait to discover their fate as their hearings were both postponed.
Palhares was expected to share his side of the story as to why he held on to a submission hold longer than he needed to at World Series of Fighting’s “WSOF 22” on August 1st. He will also have to explain why he gouged the eyes of Jake Shields repeatedly throughout the fight.
Magalhaes, on the other hand, will simply be awaiting to hear his punishment for spitting blood on Josh Samman and referee John McCarthy at “The Ultimate Fighter Season 21 Finale” in July.
