Khabib Nurmagomedov is arguably the face of the Dagestani MMA-invasion.

Khabib Nurmagomedov celebrates

During a recent Q&A in Moscow following a seminar to promote Reebok gear, Nurmagomedov and fellow lightweight Rashid Magomedov were asked about the possibility of fighting each other.

Nurmagomedov’s response, which was captured by Cageside.RU, was an interesting one:

“I’m not for this attitude,” Khabib said (H/t cageside.ru). “I do not want it. I will not lie and say that in any case I will not take the fight, but I think that the UFC has enough alcoholics there to beat first.”

Nurmagomedov caught heat recently when he he was forced to withdraw from his TUF 22 finale bout against Tony Ferguson due to a broken rib, the third injury in a row for ‘The Eagle’.

He was asked by a fan about who he would like to fight in his return bout to the Octagon.

“I’ll tell you that right now, I do not even think about it. Now the main thing is to get into shape, put myself in order and take care of my health. I want to go return for my next fight in March. “
