Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs. Chris Wade set for UFC Fight Night 74
A lightweight bout featuring Olivier Aubin-Mercier (6-1 MMA) taking on Chris Wade (10-1 MMA) is the latest addition to next month’s UFC Fight Night 74 event in Saskatoon.
UFC officials announced the booking yesterday.
Olivier Aubin-Mercier will be looking to extend his current win streak to three in a row when he squares off with Wade this August. “The Quebec Kid” is coming off back-to-back submission wins, which he earned over opponents Jake Lindsey and David Michaud.
The former “TUF: Nations” welterweight finalist (Aubin-Mercier) has won all six of his professional bouts by way of submission.
Meanwhile, Chris Wade is currently riding a five-fight win streak which includes three straight wins under the UFC banner. Wade’s latest performance came at June’s UFC Fight Night 68 event, where he earned a unanimous decision victory over Christos Giagos.
UFC Fight Night 74 takes place Sunday August 23 live from the beautiful SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The event is headlined by a key featherweight fight between surging contenders Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira.
